New pix of recent pieces

Here are some samples of recent pieces.
The color carcatures were done in pastel, the B&W in marker.
The actual working itle for the macaw is "Sunshine and Morning Mist." This acrylic painting was done exclusively from field sketches and memory, which has proven to be much richer than photographs.
The self-portrait is done in black and white chalk on toned paper. The inspiration for this piece came from studying and copying Pierre Paul Prud'hon's beautiful 'academies.'
